Symphyotrichum novae-angliae, New England Aster, is an American native perennial which grows well in average, well drained soil reaching a height of 4-6′. Planted in full sun and provided ample moisture, New England Aster will produce a profusion of deep pink-purple flowers in late summer to early fall. The flowers attract butterflies and bees.
