Asclepias incarnata, Swamp Milkweed, grows easily in medium to wet soil and full sun. Swamp Milkweed is an erect,clump-forming American native commonly that grows in river bottoms and wet meadows throughout the Eastern United States. Swamp Milkweed typically grows 3’ to 4’ on branching stems with small pink, fragrant flowers during the summer months. A favored nectar source and host plant for the Monarch butterfly.
