White American Beautyberry - Callicarpa americana v. lactea
White American Beautyberry is a variety of the native shrub Callicarpa americana. It shares many characteristics with the species, including its deciduous nature, preference for well-drained soils, and ability to thrive in partial shade. The distinguishing feature of var. lactea is its clusters of white berries that adorn the stems in late summer and fall, providing a striking contrast against the plant's green foliage.
Similar to the species, White American Beautyberry is valued for its ornamental appeal and its ability to attract birds to feed on its berries. While primarily grown for its visual impact in landscapes and gardens, it also contributes to wildlife habitat by providing food for birds and small mammals. This variety is popular in native plant gardens, woodland edges, and naturalized landscapes where it adds seasonal interest and supports local wildlife.

Plants arrived in wonderful condition. I was so impressed I emailed your people of how happy I was with
their condition. This is before I received this evaluation. I told my Preservation group at Georgia Mountain Experiment Station about the purchase and gave them your name. I know you will have new customers.
