Lanceleaf Coreopsis - Coreopsis lanceolata
-
Coreopsis lanceolata, common name Lanceleaf Coreopsis, is an American native that prefers dry to medium moisture conditions in full sun and good drainage. Lanceleaf Coreopsis will tolerate heat and humidity as well as poor soil and grow to 2′ in height. Lanceleaf Coreopsis grows along roadsides and fields where their shiny yellow flowers of about 1-2″ diameter appear late spring to mid-summer. A good plant for areas of poor, dry soil. Plant alongside native grasses and narrowleaf ironweed for a low maintenance landscape.
