Culver's Root - Veronicastrum virginicum

Culver’s Root, Veronicastrum virginicum, is a native perennial common to moist woods and prairies in the Eastern United States and Canada. Culver’s Root grows best in full sun areas with moist soils. Standing up to 7 feet tall when in flower, it makes an impressive plant for borders or in wildflower gardens. Tall white flower spikes bloom in summer. Culver’s root attracts bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Plant alongside cardinal flowers and ironweed.
